RI Assistant Attorney General Arrested In Newport: WPRI
The lawyer refused to leave a Newport restaurant, the station reported.
NEWPORT, RI — An assistant in the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office was arrested police say she refused to leave a Newport restuarant Thursday night, station WPRI reported.
The Newport Police Department issued a media release Friday regarding the arrest of two women at the Clarke Cooke House on Bannister's Wharf shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday.
Officers were sent to the location in reference to patrons "refusing to leave," the release said, and two women were arrested.

"Devon Hogan was charged with Willful Trespass and given a District Court Summons to appear in court," the release said. "Veronica Hannan was charged with Willful Trespass, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest and was brought to court for arraignment."
The release did not provide ages or addresses for the women. Newport police Lt. Robert Salter said no additional information would be released Friday.

WPRI reported that Devon Hogan is Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Flanagan Hogan.
"She has worked for the office for about seven years and is currently assigned to the Appellate Unit of the Criminal Division," WPRI said, adding, "Newport police identified her by her married name, Hogan, and said she was summoned to court on a charge of willful trespass."
Attorney general's office spokesman Tim Rondeau did not return a call for comment.
