URI Linebacker Named CAA Defensive Player Of The Week
Moses Meus had a team-high seven tackles against Holy Cross.

KINGSTON, RI — University of Rhode Island linebacker Moses Meus was named the Coastal Athletic Association Football Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning.
The redshirt sophomore from Pawtucket "spearheaded a defensive effort that held Holy Cross to just 229 yards of offense (157 passing, 72 rushing)," URI said in a media release.
"Meus had a team-high seven tackles, five of which were for 3 yards or less," the release said. "He had a third-down sack to end a drive, one of five second-half sacks for the Rams.

Meus and the defense held Holy Cross scoreless in the second half, according to the release, "keeping the Rams in the game until Garth White's game-winning field goal with 2:23 to go."
