BARRINGTON, RI — Barrington has opened two cooling centers in town in response to this week's heat wave.

Temperatures are expected to reach the 90s, with feel like temperatures over 100 degrees., from Wednesday to Saturday.

The two cooling centers are located inside the following buildings:

Barrington Library, 281 County Road

  • 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday-Thursday
  • 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday-Saturday

Barrington Public Safety Building, 100 Federal Rd

  • 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday-Friday
