Barrington Police Looking For Home Break-In Suspect
Barrington police say a safe was stolen from the home. It contained the ashes of the victim's deceased child.
BARRINGTON, RI —Barrington police have asked for the public's help finding a person who broke into a home and stole a safe.
The safe contained the ashes of the victim's deceased child, according to police.
Police said the robbery happened Wednesday at a home in the area of Nayatt Road.

"It was learned by investigators that a black safe was taken from the home," Barrington police said in a statement. "Inside this safe, amongst other items, were the ashes of the victim’s deceased child."
Police said the suspect was possibly driving the gray Dodge Ram pickup truck pictured above.

Anyone with information or who finds a discarded safe is asked to call Barrington police at 401-437-3930.
