Call Ahead on Library Programs; Sign Up for 'School's Out'

Here are some things to know about today, Dec. 18, in and aroundΒ Barrington:Β 

Morning clouds and maybe a flurry will give way to sunny skies in the afternoon with a high temperature around 32 degrees – still freezing out there.

Work on rebuilding the elevator in the Barrington Public Library is scheduled toΒ begin today. It will put the elevator out of service for more than a month, so access to the second floor will be by stairs only. State law prohibits institutions from hosting public programs and meetings without full accessibility. Call ahead at 401-247-1920 before attending any upcoming events and meetings at the Library.

Sign up your child, ages 6-12, for the Barrington Recreation Department’s β€œSchool’s Out” program at the middle school on Dec. 26, 27 and 30. Morning and afternoon sessions are scheduled. Get a registration form online by clicking here.Β Β
