2-Alarm House Fire Extinguished In Bristol
Other than a firefighter slipping on a ladder, no other injuries were reported from Saturday's fire in Bristol, fire officials said.
BRISTOL, RI — Firefighters in Bristol were busy Saturday morning extinguishing a "challenging and labor intensive" house fire, according to fire officials.
Fire officials said the fire started around 8 a.m., at a Griswold Avenue home, and when firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames coming from the home. Officials quickly struck a second alarm to get help putting out the flames.
Fire officials said no one was home during the fire, but there were pets inside. Other than a firefighter slipping on a ladder, no other injuries were reported, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Office of the RI State Fire Marshal.
