4 People Escape House Fire In Bristol

Bristol fire crews respond to a home on Hydraulion ​Avenue around 7:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a propane explosion on the back deck.

BRISTOL, RI — A family of four was forced to escape their Bristol home after it caught fire Sunday night.

Fire officials said they were called to a home on Hydraulion Avenue around 7:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a propane explosion on the back deck. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames come from the deck and the back of the home.

Fire officials said the home's four residents, all adults, escaped the fire unharmed

"Thanks to Warren Fire for covering the town and responding to another fire alarm," Bristol fire officials said in a Facebook post. "We wish the residents a speedy recovery process and are thankful no one was injured."

Fire officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
