Bristol Mom Released On Bail After Being Charged In Baby's Death

Trista Thivierge, 20, of Bristol, was released on $10,000 bail after being charged in connection to the death of her two-month-old infant.

BRISTOL, RI — A Bristol woman was arraigned Wednesday in Sixth District Court on charges related to the death of her two-month-old baby.

Trista Thivierge, 20, was charged with child endangerment and obstruction of justice. She was released on $10,000 bail with surety, and was ordered not to have contact with any minors.

Bristol police arrested Thivierge on Friday morning at her Bayview apartment. Police said they received a call about an unresponsive infant around 4:37 a.m.

According to police, Thivierge's baby was found on the bedroom floor and was later pronounced dead. Police are waiting for the results of an autopsy to see if more charges need to be filed.
