BRISTOL, RI — Bristol police warned the public of recent scammers using Google Images to steal victims' personal information.

According to police, scammers are using random Google Images and threatening victims by falsely claiming they are being watched or monitored. They may send screenshots of public images, making it seem like they have access to your personal data, cameras, or location.

Scammers then use public images from Google or social media to intimidate victims into believing they’re spying on them. They may demand money or sensitive information, claiming they’ll release more "evidence" of surveillance.
