Joseph Lou "Sweet Lou" Marchand: Co-owner of Amigos Restaurant

The Warren resident passed away on Jan. 25, 2013.

Joseph Lou Marchand, 60, of Warren, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice, Providence.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada he was a son of Theresa (Landry) Marchand and the late Wilfred Marchand.

He was employed by Carol Cable and Dixon, he was a member of St. Jean Baptiste Mission Church. He was a co-owner of Amigos Restaurant. He was avid softball player known as ā€œSweet Louā€ for Moe’s Tap for over 15 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and time with his children at the casino.

Loving father of Jason Marchand and Sherry Callahan, both of Warren. Daughter-in-law Laurie Marchand of Warwick and son-in-law Sean Callahan of Warren. Grandfather of Kaylee and Ayden Callahan. Brother of Lisa Rene, Thomas W. Marchand, William J. Marchand and James R. Marchand all of Warren.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, where family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 10 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jean Baptiste Mission Church, Main St., Warren. Burial in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery. www.wjsmithfh.com
