Hit-And-Run Driver Nabbed At North Providence Home: Cops

The North Providence man was involved in a Cumberland crash, police said.

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — A hit-and-run driver was nabbed at his North Providence home, police said.

Kevin Whitaker, 27, was arrested about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident — damage to an attended vehicle, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Whitaker was captured at his Eliot Avenue home, according to the release.

Whitaker was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned and released with a Third Division District Court date, the release said.
