Man's Body Found In Warren River

Warren police say the body of a man in his 50s was discovered near the town docks off Water Street on Monday afternoon.

WARREN, RI — A man's body was found by the shoreline of the Warren River on Monday afternoon, according to police.

Around 1:15 p.m., Warren police received a call about an unresponsive person found in the river near the town docks off Water Street.

Police said the man was already dead, and they recovered his body with the help of the Warren Fire Department. Police have not identified the man but said he was in his 50s.

The Rhode Island State Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the cause of death.
