Residents Displaced after Bristol Fire

Three people got out of the house before it was fully engulfed.

BRISTOL, RI—A Lugent Lame home was gutted and three people escaped injury after a fire late Sunday night.

Bristol firefighters said the fire happened just before midnight and the three occupants made it out just before the house was engulfed.

Crews battled the blaze for about an hour before it was under control.

Portsmouth firefighters assisted Bristol firefighters and the American Red Cross is providing assistance to the displaced.

The fire is under investigation.
