Warrants for Old Charges, Fox Fight

The following information was reported by the Bristol Police Department. Where an arrest is reported it does not mean a conviction.

TheĀ Bristol Police DepartmentĀ reported the following arrests and incidents between Aug. 22 and 26, 2013.

Arrested:Ā 

  • Gregg Trexler, of 4 Michael Drive, on a bench warrant issued by Providence SuperiorĀ Court on Aug. 22 at 12:47 a.m. for failure to appear a a restitution review imposed as part of a March, 2011 no-contest plea to a felony charge of accepting money under false pretenses. He is currently serving a five-year deferred sentence on the charge.Ā 
  • Ann Marie Serapiglia, of 30 Cole St., on a Sixth District arrest warrant, on Aug. 22 at 9:45 p.m. JudgeĀ John M. McLoughlinĀ issued the warrant for failure to appear at a payment review in February on DUI and driving with a suspended licenseĀ charges brought inĀ August, 2010 by Cranston Police. Serapiglia went to court on Aug. 23 and paid the remaining fines and court costs.
  • Nicholas Sturgis, of 75 Ridge Road, on charges of DUI and refusing a breath test, on Aug. 25 at 1:48 a.m. He pleaded not guilty at an Aug. 28 arraignment. A pre-trial is set for Sept. 13.
Other reports:Ā 
  • Bristol Police issued an alert on Aug. 23 at 5:18 a.m.Ā afterĀ an officer reported a theft from his vehicle. A Mag flashlight, rain gear, and the officer's badge were among the items taken.
  • On Aug. 23 at 10:17 p.m., officers reported to a report ofĀ suspicious noises in the yard at a home on Mallory Court. Officers discovered it was two foxes fighting.
  • OfficersĀ cited Jonathan Joyce, of North Kingstown, for public urination on Aug. 23 at about 11 p.m, in violation of a town ordinance.
  • Three juveniles face vandalism charges after officers responded to Jade Palace for a broken window on Aug. 23 at about 11:30 p.m.
  • Following reports ofĀ three people running on the Mt. Hope Bridge, officers found that they were Roger Williams University students "going for a run."
  • Officers found aĀ sleeping man in the grassĀ at Mt. Hope Avenue and Jewett Street on Aug. 25 at about 2 a.m.Ā 
  • Responding to reports of aĀ boat fire on the Kickemuit River, Bristol Fire personnel told police that the boat's diesel engine was giving off the smoke.
