BJ's To Open New 'Innovative' Market In Warwick

The company will use the Warwick store to try out new items, displays, product demonstrations and more.

WARWICK, RI — A new kind of BJ's store is going to open in Warwick, the company announced this week. Rather than a traditional large-scale wholesale store, the "BJ's Market" stores will take a new approach.

The Warwick store will be one of four opening in the country, alongside locations in Florida, Michigan and New York. Called BJ's Market, the stores will "serve as an innovation lab for the brand," the company said. The company will use the Warwick store to try out new items, displays, product demonstrations and more.

Bill Werner, the company's executive vice president of strategy and development, said BJ's is "always looking for ways to bring the value and convenience of a BJ’s membership to more shoppers, and extending our reach is a major way of achieving that."
