Current eighth grade students and their families are invited to visit Coventry High School on Wednesday night.

Â
About eight months before officially entering Coventry High School as freshman, members of the future Class of 2017 will be given the opportunity to see what is in store for them once they leave ASFMS.
On Wednesday, Jan. 16, current eighth-grade students and their families are invited to the high school's third annual Community Night from 6-8:30 p.m. to preview the programs and extra-curricular activities that are offered.

During the event, guests will have the chance to take a tour of the high school, led by CHS student mentors who will guide them through classrooms, labs, academic wings, the library media center and career center while answering any questions that the incoming freshman may have.
Teachers will also be present to discuss displays of student work and course offerings for the core academic classes- English, Math, Science, World Language; Physical Education and Health, and others such as Visual and Performing Arts, Technology and Capstone. Representatives from various athletic teams will also be in attendance to meet with potential CHS athletes.

Families planning to attend Community Night are asked to enter the school via the cafeteria entrance near the flag poles and pick up an information folder as they arrive.
Asst. Principal Brooke Macomber has said that the event has been well-attended in the past and has quickly become one of the school's most successful nights of the year.
