Coventry Detour Starts Tuesday: Arnold Road
The detour will be in effect until Dec. 1. police said.
COVENTRY, RI — A detour will start Tuesday, Nov. 28 on Arnold Road, due to construction, Coventry police said. It will continue to Dec. 1. According to the Facebook post, southbound traffic (heading toward New London Turnpike) will take a right onto Johnson’s Boulevard from Arnold Road. The school zone speed limit on Johnson's Boulevard is 20 mph, and officers will be out enforcing it. The detour will take traffic to Hopkins Hill Road, turn left onto Hopkins Hill Road and continue to Interstate 95 or to Division Road, at the driver’s preference.
The detour will not affect traffic heading north (toward Tiogue Avenue) on Arnold Road.
Police also said delays are expected, and alternate routes are recommended.
