Coventry Man Accused Of Rape At A House Party
Coventry police say Saheed Lawanson, 46, was ordered held on $50,000 bail, after being charged with first-degree sexual assault.
COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry man was arrested last week after police said he raped someone at a house party in town.
Saheed Lawanson, 46, was charged with first-degree sexual assault, after his arrest Wednesday and was arraigned Thursday in Third District Court in Providence.
In July 2023, police took a complaint from a victim they were sexually assaulted by a man at a house party in Coventry. After months of investigation, Lawanson was arrested at his home.
