“I’m super excited to get the opportunity to not only represent Coventry but to collaborate with my fellow municipal elected officials and administrators overall,” said Lima.
As a member of the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns Executive Board of Directors, Lima will join peers from across the state, primarily in representing Rhode Island’s municipalities before the Rhode Island General Assembly as well as executive and state administrative agencies. “I don’t see this as an opportunity for Hillary Lima, but rather for the Town of Coventry,” said Lima. “Our community having a seat at the table where policy, leadership, and advocacy decisions are made in support of our municipal colleagues is a huge step forward in my eyes. We’re the largest community by landmass and 7th largest overall municipality in Rhode Island and our voice matters.”
Notable members of the current Board include Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, Cranston Mayor Ken Hopkins, Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi, Pawtucket Mayor Don Grebien, East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva, North Providence Mayor Charlie Lombardi, and many more.
