Coventry Police Looking To Hire New Officers

COVENTRY, RI — The Coventry Police Department is looking to hire several new recruits. Applications will be accepted through October 2 and can be completed online.

To be eligible, applicants are asked to have an Associate's Degree or at least 60 credits towards a degree or have completed two years of active military service, four years of military reserve or National Guard duty, or have completed a certified police or law academy. In addition, applicants must also have an active driver's license, be a U.S. citizen and pass all tests, which will include a swim test, written test, physical tests, oral interview, psychological exam, background check and medical exam.

Previous applicants are asked to re-apply. Applications can be completed online and require a $25 fee. More information on the exams and application is available online as well.
