Coventry Police Looking To Hire New Officers

Applications to join the Coventry Police Department will be accepted through Feb. 12, 2024.

To be eligible, applicants must have at least 30 college credits towards a degree or have completed two years of active military service, four years of military reserve or National Guard duty, or have completed a certified police or law academy.

COVENTRY, RI — The Coventry Police Department is looking to hire some new police officers

Applications will be accepted through Feb. 12, 2024, and can be completed online.

To be eligible, applicants must have at least 30 college credits towards a degree or have completed two years of active military service, four years of military reserve or National Guard duty, or have completed a certified police or law academy.

Also, applicants must have an active driver's license, be a U.S. citizen and pass all tests, including a swim test, written test, physical tests, oral interview, psychological exam, background check and medical exam. Testing can be scheduled here.

Previous applicants are asked to re-apply. Applications can be completed online and require a $40 fee. More information on the exams and application is available online as well.
