Family Seeks Info After Dog Falls Victim to Hit & Run

Owner is looking for any information about the driver who seriously injured her 2-year-old dog.

At approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, Kim Rossi's 2-year-old, 38-pound pup, Sienna, was struck by a vehicle outside of her house at 863 Knotty Oak Road. The driver of the vehicle not only left the scene, but left Sienna laying in the middle of the road.

"My dog does have an electric fence and her collar was on, but somehow she still managed to run out into the road," said Kim. "The car hit her so hard that it knocked off her collar."

Sienna suffered many cuts and bruises and is scheduled for surgery on Saturday morning for a broken front leg.

Kim explained that she is unable to put any pressure on her hind legs - a sign her vet believes may be caused by fluid or bleeding on or near her spine.

"When I brought her in, her blood pressure was so low that it was life threatening," said Kim. "But thankfully that was brought up."

"I'm trying to find the heartless person who could do this," she said. "The medical bill is extremely high and I want this person to be held responsible."

If you have any information about the driver responsible for badly injuring Sienna, please contact Kim at (401) 269-1377.
