Today is Wednesday, June 19, 2013 and here are five things you should know about.

CHS Attendance Policy: Coventry High School administrators will be reviewing the school's attendance policy during the summer months and are seeking several parents to serve on an attendance policy committee. If you are available for a few meetings over the summer and are interested in helping, please contact Mrs. Susan Chandler at chandlersusan@coventryschools.net.
Greene Homestead: Did you know that Spring 2013 marked theNathanael Greene Homestead's 89th season as a museum? Take a tour at 50 Taft St. to learn all about Revolutionary War general Nathanael Greene who lived in the home, known as Spell Hall, from 1770 to 1776. Tours will be held Friday, Saturday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, from 1-5 p.m. Click here to visit the Homestead's Facebook page for more information.

Summer Storytime: Non-resident registration begins today, June 19, for Coventry Public Library's Summer Storytimes for children from birth through 8 years old at the library or by phone at 822-9102. Registration for Coventry residents began on Monday, June 18. Story programs begin the week of July 8. See the attached file for a list of story times offered.
Steak Fry Reservations:Â Today is the last day to reserve your seat at the Coventry Men's Club Steak Fry on June 21 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy steak for $12.99 or chicken for $10.99 while enjoying live entertainment by local band, Not for Nuthin'. Call 385-3536 for reservations.

Plan Ahead - Greene Homestead Cleanup: On Saturday, June 22 at 8 a.m., members of the Coventry community are asked to stop by the Nathanael Greene Homestead located at 50 Taft St., to help fellow volunteers reclaim more of the Homestead property by clearing the overgrown field behind the house. If you have (and know how to use) chainsaws, bow saws, trucks, chippers - please bring them and be willing to work as a team. If you would like to volunteer or for more information, send an email to nathanaelgreenehmst@gmail.com.
