Today is Monday, March 11, 2013 and here are five things you should know for today.

Spring Recreation Programs: Resident registration begins today for Coventry Parks & Recreation Spring 2013 Programs. Registration can be done at the P&R office at the Community Center. Non-residents may register for select adult programs beginning on Monday, March 18. Click here for the Spring 2013 program brochure.
Shingles Vaccination Clinic: The Wellness Company is sponsoring a Shingles Clinic today from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.). Vaccinations (less patient deductible) are covered by a number of Medicare Part D prescription plans as well as Blue Cross/Blue Shield of RI. Call 490-0942 for more information.

Wantaknowhow 2013 Scholarship: The Wantaknowhow Garden Club is currently accepting applications for its 2013 Scholarship Award. The annual scholarship is available to seniors as well as a former graduate of Coventry High School, Exeter-West Greenwich High School and The Greene School, who is actively pursuing a career in Environmental Science. Applications are available in the school Guidance offices or by contacting Peter Stetson at 821-9499. Completed application should be mailed to Wantaknowhow Garden Club, 4090 Flat River Rd., Greene, 02827 and must be received by March 31.

CHS Alumni Musicians: Brad DeGraide, choral director and teacher at CHS, and Marina Ferri (Class of 2008) have scheduled an alumni concert for Apr. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium to benefit the CHS Alumni Association. They are looking for former high school musicians who have remained in the music field either as a teacher, performer or music professional.
