Today is Thursday, March 14, 2013 and here are five things you should know for today.

 

CPD Safety Event:  The Coventry Police Department will host a free Child Seat Installation and Kids Workshop today from 12-3 p.m. at Dunkin Donuts (800 Tiogue Ave.).

Junior Prom Tickets: Coventry High School's Junior Prom will be held on April 5 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. Tomorrow, March 15, is the last day to purchase tickets in the "new" cafeteria during all three lunches. Tickets are $50 per person.

Blackrock Report Night: Blackrock Elementary's annual School Report Night will be held this evening at 6:30 p.m. in the school library. Principal Alicia Castle will present school-wide NECAP testing data as well as an action plan focused on celebrating the school's successes and addressing programming needs.

WCFD Board Meeting: The Western Coventry Fire District Board of Directors will meet this evening at 7 p.m. at 1110 Victory Hwy., Greene. Click here for tonight's agenda.

Plan Ahead - Basketball For Charity: On Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. in the Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School gym, members of the Coventry Police Department will take on staff from ASFMS in a basketball game sponsored by Coventry Military Kids. Admission is $5/adult ($4 w/ military ID) and $3/student ($2 with military ID) and all proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.Click here to learn more about the event.
