Housing Associates Board Position: The Coventry Housing Associates Corporation, a non-profit developer of affordable housing, is looking for residents who may wish to serve on the volunteer Board. Click here for more information or contact Executive Director Julie Leddy at jleddy@coventryhousing.org.

Physical Activity Seminar: Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island is holding a free seminar on physical activity called “What Moves You?” today from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Louttit Library, (274 Victory Hwy., West Greenwich). The seminar teaches simple ways to add physical activity to your day and provide tips to keep you motivated with your new active lifestyle. All members of the public are invited to attend and registration is not required.

Raymond Wolfe at Greene Library: Are you interested in learning about local history? If so, Raymond Wolf, author of Pawtuxet Valley Villages: Hope to Natick to Washington will be visiting Greene Library tonight from 6-7 p.m. He will be speaking about the villages along the Pawtuxet River and the mills that were once a thriving industry back in the early 19th century. This event is free but please call 397-3873 to register.

Blackrock PTA: Members of the Blackrock School PTA will meet this evening at 7 p.m. in the school library. The operating budget for the 2012-2013 school year will be presented and voted upon. (You do not need to be a member to attend but you must be a member to vote.) Membership is $7.00 per person and you may join at the meeting.

Cal Ripken Registration: For those of you with internet access, Coventry Cal Ripken has announced that its online registration is now open. Instructional division is now offered at a reduced cost of $50 per playes, the cost for all other players is now $80. Discounts for families with multiple players are now $115 for two players and a family maximum of $130. Click here for more information or to register.
