Four DUIs, Assaults, Crashes: Coventry Police Log

The following arrests were reported by the Coventry Police Department. An arrest is not a conviction.

Note: Coventry police do not release birth dates, only birth years. The number behind each name is the year of birth.

Philip R. Sautter, 1997, of 19 Vancouver Ave., Warwick, charged with driving under the influence, refusing a chemical test and a laned roadway violation Jan. 3. He was arraigned on Jan. 13, released on personal recognizance and due to return to court on Jan. 27 for a pretrial conference.

Daniel M. Harrison, 1974, of 10 Vanderbilt Terrace, Coventry, charged with driving under the influence, refusing a chemical test and a parking violation Jan. 4. He was arraigned on Jan. 20 and released on personal recognizance until a Feb. 3 pretrial conference.

Robert Wimer, 1963, of 3 Magnolia Way, Little Compton, charged with driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test Jan. 5. He was arraigned and released on personal recognizance and is due to return to court on Feb. 3 for a pretrial conference.

Joseph Salvatore Marsella, 1974, of 50 Murray St., Coventry, charged with domestic simple assault, third offense, and violating a no-contact order, fourth offense Jan. 3. He was released on surety bail and is due to return to court on Feb. 24 for an attorney general screening conference. A no-contact order was issued.

Sean P. Huntley, 1977, of 47 Wendell St., Coventry, charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct Jan. 4. He was released on surety bail and is due to return to court on Jan. 20 for a pretrial conference. A no-contact order was issued.

Alan P. Andrews, 1947, of 6101 Mulhearn Drive, Coventry, charged with failing to register an address change as a sex offender, a felony, and a warrant Jan. 5. He was released on personal recognizance and was due to appear in court on Jan. 25 for a screening conference.

Toby R. Kirtland, 1970, of 3 Linwood Drive, Coventry, charged with domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism Jan. 4. He was released on personal recognizance and is due to return to court on Feb. 3 for a pretrial conference.

Shawn T. Sherman, 1995, of 11 Tiogue Ave., West Warwick, charged with five counts of credit card fraud on Jan. 20. He pleaded no contest and was ordered to make restitution and complete 25 hours of community service.

Trevor R. Hamlin, 1992, of 650 Providence St., West Warwick, charged with reckless driving and falsely reporting a crime on Jan. 8. He pleaded no contest to the reckless driving charge on Jan. 28 and was sentenced to one year, suspended, and one year of probation. He was also ordered to make restitution. The falsely reporting a crime charge was dismissed.

Talia Maglioli, 1991, of 97 Phenix Ave., West Warwick, charged with driving under the influence, failing to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle and a highway fixture, a laned roadway violation and driving without proof of insurance. She was released on personal recognizance and is due to appear in court on April 4 for a felony screening conference.
