1.) Toddlers, Tunes and Tales

Where/When: Coventry Public Library; Fridays 10-10:30 a.m.

Why Go: The Coventry Public Library hosts a Friday morning program each week beginning Oct. 12 for 1 to 3-year-olds accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The activity features songs, movement and a story. Please call the library at 922-9100 to register.

2.) Greene Homestead Tours

Where/When: Gen. Nathanael Greene Homestead (50 Taft St.); Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m.

Why Go: The historic 1770 homestead of Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene is now open for tours. For more information, visit www.nathanaelgreenehomestead.org.

Pricing: $5/adult, $3/child

3.) Harvest Breakfast

Where/When: Cornerstone of Faith United Methodist Church (1081 Main St.); Saturday, 8 to 10:30 a.m.

Why Go: Cornerstone of Faith UMC will hold a Harvest Breakfast on Oct. 20 with a menu including ham, bacon, sausage, beans, eggs, pancakes, toast, juices and apple crisp. (Please enter the church via the Coventry Police Station parking lot to park behind the church.)

Pricing: $6/adult, $3/child (ages 5-10), children under 5 are guests of the church.

4.) Community Blood Drive

Where/When: Coventry Memorial VFW 9404 (29 South Main St.); Sunday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Why Go: Be a hero and donate blood this weekend! Coventry Memorial VFW 949 will hold a Blood Drive on Oct. 21, sponsored by the VFW and Coventry-West Greenwich Lions. Blood donors will receive a free breakfast! Call 828-9705 for more information.

Pricing: Blood donation

5.) Line Dancing

Where/When: Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich); Sunday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Want to try something a little different this weekend? Then try your hand (or feet) at line dancing. All ages and abilities are welcome. For more info call Jerry (397-3700) or Lori (206-3618).

Pricing: $6 per person to benefit Elks and Emblems charities.
