Man Pinned under Vehicle Being Repaired Dies
A man working on a car off Washington Street in Coventry died after a tragic accident on Saturday afternoon.
COVENTRY, RI—A man working underneath a car died after the vehicle fell on him and he became trapped underneath in a tragic accident on Washington Street on Saturday, police said.
Coventry police said that police and EMS responded to 511 Washington St. for a report of a man trapped under a vehicle.
Crews freed the man quickly and he was transported to Kent County Hospital where he died a short time later from his injuries, said Coventry Police Chief Col. John MacDonald in a news release.

Police have not identified the victim and said that the incident is being investigated.
