Nathanael Greene Homestead Hosts First Annual 'Raid at Spell Hall'

Photos provided by Paton Photography and David Silverman Photography documented the historical event.

On May 11 and 12, 2013, the Gen. Nathanael Greene Homestead hosted its first ever Revolutionary War Reenactment, the "Raid on Spell Hall"

The event featured authentic Continental and British military camps, musket and cannon demonstrations and tours of the completely restored 1770 home of Gen. Nathanael Greene, Spell Hall, a National Historic Landmark.

Each day, guests enjoyed two reenactments in which Continental Regulars, French and Militia troops battled a British raiding party intent on sacking the home of George Washington's second in command and most trusted general.
