Obituary: Arthur J. Tucker, Sr., 93

Arthur J. Tucker, Sr., 93, of Greene, RI, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. Born in Bristol, RI, he was married to the late Jean B. (Huftalen) Tucker and was the son of the late William A. and Jennie (Reppenger) Tucker.

Arthur was a pipefitter for ten years at General Dynamics in Quonset Point, North Kingstown, RI prior to his retirement. He was a US Army Veteran, having served during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion Post 81 in Coventry, RI.

He is survived by three sons; Arthur J. Tucker, Jr. and his wife Karen, Glenn A. Tucker and his wife Jana, and Scott F. Tucker and his wife Donna, two daughters; Sandra J. Dudley and her husband William, and Janice E. Papa and her husband Frank, two brothers; William J. Tucker and Harold E. Tucker, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Riverpoint Advent Christian Church, 1107 Main Street, West Warwick, RI. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial with full Military Honors will be at the RI Veterans Cemetery.
