Linda "Lynn" Ferri (Tessier), 52, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Linda “Lynn” Ferri (Tessier), 52, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side after a long battle with heart disease on Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Lynn was the beloved wife of Louis Ferri of Coventry for 27 years.

Born in Worcester, MA on June 28, 1963 and raised in Auburn, she was the daughter of Russell Tessier and the late Jean Tessier (Pytko).

Lynn graduated from Notre Dame Academy and Bryant College with a BS degree in Business Administration. She had a long career as a mortgage loan underwriter and held positions of increasing responsibility in several financial institutions including National City Mortgage Corp., Bank of Newport, and RI Hospital Trust.

Lynn was Past President of the Mortgage Underwriters Association of RI.

Besides her husband she is survived by her father, her sisters Amy Thebeau and Juli Tessier, her brother Michael Tessier, her aunt Jane Lipski and many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Lynn will be remembered by those who knew her for her fun-loving, adventuresome spirit. She was also a fighter, battling not only heart disease but also Hodgkin’s disease in her college years. In her teens, a trip to Paris with her Aunt Jane sparked a lifelong interest in travel. Louis and Lynn visited many places together and especially enjoyed their days on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. Her interests included cooking, learning about fine wines, art, caring for her cats and dog, Frankie, and gardening. She dedicated her prized rose garden to the memory of her mother.

She was involved in charitable activities and most recently completed the American Heart Association Walk in Providence.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2016 at 8 AM from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Our Lady of Czenstochowa, 445 Washington St., Coventry.

Burial will be in St. Roch’s Cemetery, Oxford, MA. Calling hours will be Monday evening 4 to 7 PM.
