Star Student Athlete: Meet Coventry's Hannah

COVENTRY, RI — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

This submission comes from Robin Taft who nominated her daughter Hannah of Coventry.

Hannah is a sophomore and has been on the varsity soccer team since her freshman year. She did all this while serving as class president and maintaining a GPA above 4.0

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

She was straight Varsity as a freshman and went all division while maintaining over a 4.0 GPA both freshman and sophomore year so far. She is Sophomore class President and all around great kid who teachers love and is kind to other students.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

She cares about others and is an all around great kid. Parents and teachers love her! She is a very good student academically and works equally hard as an athlete. She is pursuing her dream to attend a 4-year school playing the sport she loves, soccer.
