COVENTRY, RI — Several days into the Stop & Shop workers strike, most stores in the area have reopened with skeleton crews of replacement workers, while others remain shuttered, only letting customers in to access Citizen's Bank branches or in-store pharmacies. If you're a Stop & Shop regular looking for alternatives in the area, here are some other grocery store options available nearby.

  • Walmart: 650 Centre of New England Blvd
  • Dave's Fresh Marketplace: 23 Coventry Shoppers Park
  • Tom's Market: 821 Tiogue Ave.
  • Aldi: 444 Quaker Ln., Warwick. Bring a quarter, you'll need it for a cart.

Several local grocery stores, including Walmart, also offer online grocery delivery.
