Woman's Screams Lead Coventry Police To Make Arrest

Police went to an apartment on Woodland Drive after a report about a woman screaming.

COVENTRY, RI—Coventry police on Sunday arrested Robert Hunt, 48, near his Woodland Drive apartment. They went there to investigate a report about a woman screaming. Police say their investigation indicated Hunt's apartment had been the scene of a "disturbance involving several individuals." Detectives obtained a search warrant. They allege they found "heroin, cocaine, scales, and drug paraphernalia" when they went through the house. They also found a sawed off shotgun and bullets.

Hunt was charged with Possession of a Sawed Off Shotgun, Possession of Firearms by a Convict in a Crime of Violence, and Possession of Heroin and Cocaine. He was arraigned in District Court on Monday and sent to the Adult Correctional Institutions as a bail violator.
