Cranston Bank Robbed by Man Wearing Surgical Mask
The Citizens Bank in Rolfe Square was robbed on Friday morning by a man who fled on foot and is still at large.
CRANSTON, RI—The Citizens Bank in Rolfe Square was robbed on Friday.
Cranston police Capt. Karen Guilbeault said that the robbery happened at around 11:15 a.m. at the bank located at 56 Rolfe Square.
Bank employees told police that the suspect, described as a white man standing about six feet tall with a thin build, walked into the bank wearing all dark clothing, a green winter hat and a surgical mask covering his face.

The man then passed a note to the teller demanding cash and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Nobody was injured during the robbery.

A suspect was detained nearby but later released when police determined that he was not involved.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cranston police at 401-942-2211. If you see the man pictured in the photos below, call 911 immediately and do not approach.
