Intoxicated 'Erratic Operator' Nabbed After Pursuit: Police
The Barrington man was apprehended in Cranston following a chase, police said.
CRANSTON, RI — Troopers chased down and apprehended a drunken Barrington man, police said.
Christopher Gillam, 48, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor, refusal to submit to a chemical test, eluding law enforcement —vehicle in a high-speed pursuit and resisting legal or illegal arrest, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"The arrest was the result of a E-911 call for an erratic operator, and subsequent vehicle pursuit where (Gillam) was arrested on Route 95 North, in the City of Cranston," the release said.

Gillam was processed at the Wickford Barracks and arraigned, according to the release.
