Wanted Warwick Woman Captured By Cranston Cops, Police Say

CRANSTON, RI — A wanted Warwick woman was captured by the Cranston cops during a traffic stop, police said.

Alicia Moreau, 31, was arrested shortly before noon Wednesday after she was pulled over near the intersection of Norwood Avenue and Narragansett Boulevard, according to the Cranston police.

Moreau was wanted on charges of obtaining property by false pretense, fraudulent use of food stamps, fraudulently obtaining public assistance, forgery and counterfeiting, and giving a false document to an agent employee of a public official, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Moreau was turned over to the state police, according to the Cranston police.

Moreau was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned and released with a court date.
