Cranston Man Arrested for Rolfe Square Bank Robbery

Henry Randall, 27, kept the note and mask he used during the robbery and handed the items over to investigators.

CRANSTON, RI—Cranston police said they arrested a man who allegedly robbed the Citizens Bank in Rolfe Square last week.

Henry Randall, 27, of 116 Greenwood St., Cranston, was arrested on Monday after investigators identified him as a suspect, according to Cranston Police Chief Col. Michael J. Winquist Jr. 

Detectives, working with Citizens Bank security officials, identified Randall as the suspect and responded to his Greenwood Street house to question him.

There, Randall "admitted to committing the robbery and provided detectives with the clothing he wore during the robbery along with the face mask and note he used."

Randall has been cooperating with investigators and turned over "most of the money" he robbed from the bank, police said.

Randall is being charged with a count of second degree bank robbery and was due to be arraigned Tuesday.

The robbery happened at around 11:15 a.m. at the bank located at 56 Rolfe Square on June 10.

Bank employees told police that Randall walked into the bank wearing all dark clothing, a green winter hat and a dust mask covering his face before he passed a note to the teller demanding cash.

Randall fled from the scene on foot.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.
