Democratic Convention Set for Sunday in Cranston

More than 200 party faithful, including delegates, will gather at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet this Sunday.

CRANSTON, RI—The Rhode Island Democratic Convention is set for Sunday, June 12 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston where party members will elect the national committeeman and committeewoman and nine of the 33 delegates who will represent Rhode Island at the national convention later this summer in Philadelphia.

More than 200 party members along with elected officials, pledged delegates, at-large delegate candidates and others will attend the convention and annual state committee meeting. A total of 33 delegates will attend the national convention in July.

  • Three Public Leaders and Elected Officials (PLEOs)
  • Six at-large pledged delegates
  • 15 elected pledged
  • 9 unpledged (super delegates).
