A Fentanyl Charge; 4 Domestic Assaults: Cranston Police Arrest Log

CRANSTON, RI — The following people were arrested by Cranston police between Sept. 27 and Oct. 2.

Names of those arrested, their age, or the town they reside in, as well as the time of the arrest, were only omitted when not provided by police.

Sept. 27

5:50 p.m. — Matthew Borges, 49, of Cranston, was charged with domestic assault on persons over 60, resisting legal or illegal arrest, and domestic disorderly conduct.

10:57 p.m. — Rashul Panwar, 31, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault, domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property, and domestic disorderly conduct.

Sept. 28

1:52 p.m. — Nicole Canuel, 20, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

7:27 p.m. — Joseph Paine, 37, of Cranston, was charged with possession of schedule II drugs (under 10 grams). Police said the arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Phenix Avenue.

Sept. 29

10:39 a.m. — John Walsh, 73, of Cranston, was charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service to a home on Cranston Street.

5 p.m. — Michael Fegan, 62, was charged with violating a no-contact order, following a suspicious activity call at the Walmart on Plainfield Pike.

Sept. 30

5:58 p.m. — Javen Smith, 23, of Newport, was charged with disorderly conduct. Police said the arrest happened after a disturbance at the Dunkin' Donuts at 548 Reservoir Ave.

Oct. 1

9:18 a.m. — Talia Darosa, 28, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

9:14 p.m. — Thomas Mercurio, 70, of Cranston, was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault. Police said the arrest stemmed from a disturbance call to a home on Hyde Street.

Oct. 2

4:20 p.m. — Patrick Leonard, 45, of Warwick, was charged with DUI and possession of fentanyl. Police said the arrest happened after a crash investigation at the intersection of Oaklawn Avenue and Cottrell Street.
