New Delta Flights To Launch From T.F. Green To NYC

Three time per day, Delta Air Lines will offer service from Rhode Island to LaGuardia Airport.

WARWICK, RI — Ocean State travelers will have a faster way to get to New York City, starting in the new year. Officials at Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport announced a new Delta Air Lines route to La Guardia Airport.

Starting Jan. 5, Delta will offer flights three times per day, and twice daily on weekends. The flights will be on 76-seat CRJ-900 planes.

"The new service to a major airline hub will provide travelers with more connecting options to more locations, improving the ease of travel between New England, New York City and the nation," airport officials said in the announcement.

Flights start at $63 each way during the first week of service.

The new route brings the number of nonstop routes to 26, airport officials said, which marks a 53 percent increase in nonstop routes and a 57 percent increase in the number of airlines at the airport since 2016.
