Staples Signs Chapel View Lease
The office supply retail giant will be coming to Chapel View.
As work continues at Chapel View, officials from Carpionato Group, which owns and runs the high-end mixed use development, are busy securing leases.
One of the most recent signings is with Staples.
Kelly Coates, Sr. Vice President of Carpionato Properites, said in an interview that the office supply giant will be occupying space that is in the process of being constructed near Chapel Grille and identifiable now by two elevator shafts that have stood facing Sockanosset Cross Road for a few years.

Virtually all of the space in the new building has been leased already, Coates said — a sign not only that Rhode Island's business climate is improving, but also that Chapel View is a desirable place to set up shop.
"We've had a lot of success so far," Coates said.

The new building's top floor will be at the same grade as other retail businesses in the already-developed portion of Chapel View. The mid level will be offices, some with amazing views, 15-foot high cielings and soaring arched windows.
Right now Chapel View has about 120,000 square feet of office space and the new building will boost that number to about 140,000, Coates said.
