Drink Beer, Run, Eat Hotdogs – 'Belly To Belly' Returns

"I say every year I'll never do it again, and then I do it," says one of the organizers, John Anderson, of the annual charity run.

For the past few years, Fat Belly's owner Scott Parker and friend John Anderson, have organized the Belly to Belly run – a charity "race" involving beer, hotdogs and, yes, running.

This year, they added another, more traditional, way to participate – a 5K run, no beer, no hotdogs. Needless to say, the participants of the 5K skewed younger. In fact, the top two finishers – William Foster and Jack McMullen – were both 10 years old. Third place finisher Pieter Snoeren? Well, according to Anderson, he was "much older" than the first two finishers!

For the beer-and-hotdog race, the top finisher was Bob Jackman of Warwick. Second place went to Mark Howard of Warwick. Third went to jim Gorgi of East Greenwich.
