Jaws Of Life Extraction After Serious Crash: Union

EAST GREENWICH, RI — Firefighters extricated an occupant of a vehicle following a crash Tuesday afternoon, according to the East Greenwich Firefighters Association IAFF L 3328 - TM, Facebook page.

Two engines responded to a report of a car crashing into a pole on Frenchtown Road near South County Trail about 1 p.m., the post said.

"Upon arrival, crews found one patient trapped inside a small SUV," the post said. "The patient was extricated with the assistance of the jaws of life and transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries."
