EG Man Arrested for Pointing Shotgun at Pizza Delivery Driver
Police said the 53-year-old pointed a shotgun at a delivery driver who started training for the job that week.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—A 53-year-old East Greenwich man was charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon after allegedly pointing a shotgun at a pizza delivery driver trying to deliver a sandwich.
Police said Robert Phillip Lynch, of 1765 Division Road, was arrested on March 3 after police investigated a report from the delivery driver who said that Lynch grabbed the gun from his garage and pointed the barrel at him as he fled from the scene in fear of his life.
According to a police report, the driver told police at around 4:40 p.m. that he was in his first week of training at Pizza Heaven when he arrived at Lynch's address. Nobody answered the door when he knocked, so he called the customer, identified as Lynch, who began yelling telling the driver to "leave the [expletive] sandwich outside."
