EG Residents Named To Fall '12 Dean's Lists
The first of a series of articles listing area students who've been named to their school's dean's list.
This time of year, colleges and universities release the names of those students who've earned a spot on their Dean's List. Here are some of those who've been named. We will be running additional Dean's List articles in coming days.Â
The following students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester of the 2012-13 academic year: Emily Lewin, Michelle Riggs, and Melanie Rosen earned high honors; Susan Navilliat earned honors. Highest Honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
Kaylee Sullivan was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Saint Michael's College. Sullivan is a first-year exploratory major at the liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vt. Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the Dean's List.

Kayla Saenz has been named to the dean's list at Paul Smith's College for the fall 2012 semester. Saenz, who majors in culinary arts and service management, earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction. Saenz was also named an Adirondack Scholar, having achieved a cumulative average of at least 3.8.
Daniel Fried, a sophomore interdisciplinary business major, has earned the esteemed honor of placement on the Dean's List at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for the 2012 Fall semester. To achieve this honor, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade point average or above.

Nicole Palumbo has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Salve Regina University. Palumbo is a sophomore majoring in early childhood education. To qualify for the Dean's List, full-time undergraduate students must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.6 with no grade below a "B" in that semester.
Stonehill College recently named the following local residents to its Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester: Daniel J. Harnett, a member of the class of 2014; Elizabeth M. Perkins, a member of the class of 2013; and JoAnna C. Steere, a member of the class of 2013. To qualify for the Dean's List at Stonehill, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.
The following area residents have been named to the Dean's List at Providence College for the Fall 2012 semester: Kelly Cleary, a member of the class of 2014; Lisa Hashway, a member of the class of 2013; Benjamin Lichtenfels, a member of the class of 2013; Brooke MacDonald, a member of the class of 2014; Michael McDevitt, a member of the class of 2013; Nathan McGuire, a member of the class of 2016; Colleen O'Brien, a member of the class of 2013; Alexis White, a member of the class of 2015; and Meghan White, a member of the class of 2014. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits.
