Fall '12 Dean's Lists: Many From EG Named

This time of year, colleges and universities release the names of those students who've earned a spot on their Dean's List. Here are some of those who've been named. We will be running additional Dean's List articles in coming days. 

The following local residents are among those to be named to the Roger Williams University Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester: Julia Cianciolo, majoring in Creative Writing; Rachael Asadorian, majoring in Criminal Justice; John Stewart, majoring in Criminal Justice; and Charles Ryan, majoring in Music. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Fairfield University has announced that the following local residents have been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester: Elizabeth Bateson and Andrew Robinson. Fairfield University, a comprehensive Jesuit university in Fairfield, Conn., challenges its students to lead inspired lives of leadership and service. To be selected for the Dean's List, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5, of a possible 4.0.

Kelsey Gallo, who is majoring in Photography at UMass Dartmouth, has been named to the Fall 2012 Dean's List in recognition of earning a semester grade point average of 3.2 or higher of a possible 4.0.

Nolan M. Langhammer has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at the University of Vermont. Langhammer is a junior Global Studies major in the College of Arts & Sciences. To be named to the dean's lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Andrew Morsilli of East Greenwich, R.I. (02818) was named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Ga., for the 2012 fall semester. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester to be named to the Merit List.

Wofford College has announced the Dean's List students for the Fall 2012 Semester, including Victoria Anastacio DaSilva. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

Nicholas K. Iwamoto has been named to second honors on the Clark University Dean's List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2012 semester. To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79, of a maximum of 4.3.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Assumption College: Kyle Dubuc and Rebecca Jacobson, both members of the class of 2014.
