Five Things For The Last Day of 2012!
Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Dec. 31.
Resolutions, anyone? If you’re making a resolution (or two), share them with the rest of us here in the comments section. Let’s crowd-share our improvements!
Bright Night: The annual Dec. 31 arts fest in Providence offers something for everyone. Among the performers: Bill Harley, Lon Cerel, Greg Abate, the Big Nazo puppets and much much much more. The action begins at noon and lasts until midnight. Tickets are $20 ($10 for children). Check out the website for more information.
Christmas Tree disposal: The Town of East Greenwich will be picking up Christmas Trees (stripped of decorations and NOT in plastic bags) the week of Jan. 7. Thanks, Audrey, for the head’s up on that one!
Facebook ‘likes’: Help me start the new year with a clean 1K Facebook likes. If you haven’t liked EG Patch on Facebook yet, click here. Thanks!
On New Year’s Day …
Second Annual Frozen Clam plunge: The Frozen Clam is a New Year's plunge takes place right here at the beach at Goddard Park. The plunge – to benefit Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership – will be held at 12 noon but feel free to get there a little early for mental preparation and to learn more about a fantastic organization. Spectators are welcome and donations will be accepted, or better yet, become a mentor. Check out a recap of last year's plunge here. This year we are asking "clam dippers" to register prior to plunging. If you raise $100 you get a t-shirt!  Click here to register.
