Blizzard! It’s looking like we will be getting some major snow. Check out the latest National Weather Service forecast here, or the latest from WPRI's weather page here. Here's the forecast as of 10:30 p.m. Thursday: "BLIZZARD CONDITIONS expected by late in the day and into Saturday morning. Snow is expected to start between 6-9am Friday morning and may initially be light; however, conditions will go downhill through the day with accumulations likely beginning by afternoon. The height of the storm will be Friday evening into Saturday Morning. This is a storm that will have a variety of weather hazards in addition to any snow includingstrong, damaging winds, poor road conditions andlimited visibility. Some mixing of sleet and rain is possible at the south coast. Where it stays "all snow" there is a high chance of 1 to 2 feet of snow, but there could be isolated spots which pick up over 2ft of snow. Any mixing of rain and sleet would hold down snow accumulation amounts near the coast...10-18" of snow.
